A forex market hours converter helps translate major session times into your local time zone. Session windows are commonly used reference periods; the global forex market is decentralized, so provider trading hours and holidays can differ.
Forex Market Hours Converter: Sessions in UAE Local TimeMajor forex sessions
The commonly referenced centres are Sydney, Tokyo, London and New York. Their local times and UTC offsets change differently through the year. Dubai uses Gulf Standard Time (GST), UTC+4, year-round.
London–New York overlap in UAE time
The table uses typical London and New York session windows and shows how their overlap maps to Dubai time.
| Clock schedule | Approximate overlap in Dubai (GST) |
|---|---|
| UK and US both on standard time | 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. |
| UK and US both on daylight time | 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. |
| US on daylight time; UK on standard time | 4:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. |
The short mismatch periods occur because the United States and United Kingdom change clocks on different dates. In 2026, US daylight time runs from March 8 to November 1; UK clock changes occur on March 29 and October 25. Dubai does not change clocks.
How to convert session times accurately
For a live converter, use named time zones rather than fixed UTC offsets:
- London:
Europe/London - New York:
America/New_York - Dubai:
Asia/Dubai - Tokyo:
Asia/Tokyo - Sydney:
Australia/Sydney
A fixed time difference can become wrong when one location changes its clocks, and another does not. Recheck the date, local market schedule and provider hours, especially around daylight-saving transitions and public holidays.
